Mini-mole


It looks like it's another big year for juvenile mole crabs.  They're very abundant on beaches right now.  The photo above shows a typical adult — about 4 cm (1.5 inches) long — and a very small juvenile — only about 5 mm long.  Photographed on 1 March 2015.
