Fun with foam

Rough seas churned up a lot of foam near shore this weekend.  These pictures were taken from Bodega Head on 2 December 2012.

Sometimes the thick foam looked like lava:

Other times it leaped and splashed into unusual shapes and patterns.  The next three images reminded me of different paintings.

Hokusai's The Great Wave off Kanagawa

Edvard Munch's The Scream

Jackson Pollock's Number 13A: Arabesque

Do you see other paintings or figures in the foam?

P.S.  As I was looking up some information about Jackson Pollock, I came across this fun web page.  You can create your own Pollock-like painting online.  Check it out (click to change colors)!
